Reegan is 15 months and FULL of life. This kid has got expressions and personality. She is into everything and mostly loves climbing. She climbs on the stair railing, the stove, the stairs, the couch, the outside playground. You name it and we are always pulling her down from something. She loves to be outside and goes to get her shoes often to let us know she would like to be outside right now! Unfortunately, it is summer and way to hot to be outside very often, but we try to take short walks here and there. And the swimming helps.
Her hair is growing in long and with some pretty blonde streaks. I don't realize she has more hair until I look at pictures from a month or two ago.
She loves to eat. She is pretty much a meat eater, going for that first. She like cheeseburgers and fish and pork and chicken. She also loves broccoli and mango. We were having some dinner time battles...the kid figured out how to get the insert out of her high chair tray and if we did not get food on there fast enough she would take it off and throw it. Sometimes with food on it. So we moved her high chair to the island counter and put down a placemat with food on it. It worked ok, but after a while she would pick up the placemat (sometimes with food on it). So then we switched her to a plate which we did not think would go well at all...turns out this was just what she needed. Apparently, she just wanted to be like the rest of us. Same thing happens when we have pizza...she just wants to be like the rest of us. Ever since Reegan switched to finger food she wants nothing to do with us feeding her, but she hasn't quite mastered the spoon. This means we have had to rethink our feeding strategy from some of Riley's staples (yogurt, oatmeal, cottage cheese).
Reegan is a huge talker. It just happens to be a foreign language none of us can understand. She does speak a little english...ball, hi, momma, daddy, dazzle, shhhh (for shoe).
As you know, nothing is perfect. Reegan included. Our sweet little girl has found her alter ego in the form of THE temper tantrum. Oh yeah. If she wants something she cannot have she will just start crying. Hard. So hard in fact that the other day Chris asked me if she hurt herself (he was sitting there when we took the item away...but couldn't believe our mellow, easy going 2nd child would react so extreme). Nope, she just wants to see if crying like someone punched her in the face will get her the ipod back. We are hoping this is a short lived phase.
Gotta run for now...hope you enjoy her, we certainly do.

Love the pictures! You can really see a lot of personality in them, and she is really starting to remind me of Riley at that age. We need to come meet her!
We also have that same dress. Too cute!
We also have the monkey that climbs on EVERYTHING.
We also have the girl that throws a tantrum over ANYTHING. So hard, after having such a calm little boy.
About the eating thing... We had to give up a high chair or booster seat pretty early with both kids. In fact, Cerena has been in a chair on her knees for months now. They both just refused to eat until they were eating like we were, just like you said.
A tip for messy eating: We use "white shirts" whenever we are eating something messy. They are old t-shirts of mine and Daniel's. I just keep a supply close by, and we'll throw one on the kids whenever they need to stay clean. The white shirts are big enough to cover their clothes (including pants) when they are sitting on their knees. Bibs never worked for us.
Think that's all. Oh how we need to catch up!
Paula :)
She is so incredibly cute! Great post! I have to say our sweet, gentle Tyler has turned into the worst terrible two in the last few weeks! I blamed it on his new molars (ha) but can't anymore! Ugh. We must get together soon so our tots can throw tantrums together! :)
